Picture this: Your family blends with another family, and you're six years old. You don't really know what it means for Mom to have found a new husband, and you, a new Daddy. All you know is that you're going to be getting a brother. That's a bit exciting, isn't it? You get to share a room with a new friend, share toys and clothes, all the while never feeling lonely around adults. All is well in the world. The only thing that could make it better is a unicorn and a large pile of candy.
When your new brother moves in, you figure out very quickly that he doesn't want to be your friend. In fact, he actively bothers you, batters you, and gets his friends to do the same. This behavior doesn't change as you grow up, but rather gets exponentially worse. Where has your mother been all this time? Well, she probably was too busy telling you that things will get better soon enough, that this awful mistreatment is simply a sign of the times, and you need to find a way to get through it (without her help, of course.)
Such is the case in this next story. What the mother soon finds out, though, is that years later, her son will finally put his foot down.
